Of his descendants registered in Germany alone, far more than 100 are successful in the top class level and more than 50 of his sons have been licensed and recognized so far. With Carano, the thoroughbred Sir Shostakovich xx, who stands for sportiness and hardness, and the not only in Holstein legendary Selle Francais stallion Cor de la Bryère, other important sires line up on the sire side of the pedigree. What makes Chameleon very special among the sons of Come il faut is not only the conclusive combination of sires, but also his important dam line, the Holsteiner dam line 6879, which is described by the Holsteiner Verband itself as "one of the strongest in Holsteiner breeding".  Chameleon's dam already brought successful offspring in sports up to class 1.40m and from the grand dam came sport horses successful up to 1.40m as well as horses successful in international eventing competitions.
